Carey Burn at junction with unnamed burn
Snear Hill is the ridge on the south side of the Carey Burn. It is a north-eastern outlier of Cold Law. A fence ascending the steep gully of the tributary burn NT9625 : Gully above Carey Burn on north side of Snear Hill marks the former line of the parish boundary between Earle and Middleton. The boundary then ran left down the middle of the Carey Burn.
