A view of the ‘Year 2000 Reedbed’ with Clifton Pond in the background taken from the elevated bird hide that was opened in 2009 at the side of Wet Marsh Lane footpath, off Barton Ferry Lane. Attenborough Nature Reserve consists of a series of disused gravel pits that were exploited commercially between 1929-67 and opened by Sir David Attenborough shortly after that.
