High Strip Cottage
The ruin that was shown in William Craig's earlier photograph – NS3380 : Cardross, Derelict Farm Building – has been restored, as shown in the present photograph. The original building is depicted on the first-edition OS map (c.1860), and its surviving stonework was incorporated into the restored building. The house takes its name from High Strip, the area of woodland just to the west of the photographer's position (see the 1:25000 map).
