Broadgreen by the River Tay
This secluded spot was the site of a conventicle in the 17th Century. Gilbert West attended this conventicle which was ambushed by Royalist dragoons. 'Gibbie' fled, but was pursued down the River Tay and shot. His body was later found in a gully which became known as 'Gibbie's Den'. See NO1335 : Tributary of the River Tay near Broadgreen
