Grosvenor Bridge and the River Dee
Grosvenor Bridge and the River Dee
Taken from the public footpath on the south bank of the river this view emphasises the magnificent arch that is not seen by the thousands of motorists who cross the bridge every day. Designed by an elderly Thomas Harrison it was completed in 1833. Through the arch, in the distance, it is possible to see the Chester Racecourse Hotel built 170 years later in 2003.
