The Remains of Holy Trinity Chapel
The Remains of Holy Trinity Chapel, taken 5 years ago
This chapel dating from around 1500 is now all but lost in the undergrowth but it once served a scattered but vibrant congregation drawn from the surrounding area. It had already fallen into disuse when it was replaced by the Victorian church in Brackenfield in 1856 but not before a chancel screen and two oak chairs were removed to the new site. This picture shows the empty bell turret above the western gable, a blocked up mullioned window and the remains of the porch.
