Parish Boundary Stone
Parish Boundary Stone
This granite post is at the roadside directly above the stream which forms the boundary between Callington and St Mellion Parish. Parish boundaries used to be important, not least because each parish was responsible for maintaining its own roads. Having a marker on the roadside probably saved a few disputes.
