Forest Lodge at the Mansfield Road entrance of Forest Recreation Ground was designed by Henry Moses Wood, the Borough Surveyor and built in 1857. It is a Grade-II listed building and was originally used as a park-keeper's lodge and as a short-term police cell. The latter can still be seen at basement level.
