This gathering at the TQ3380 : Builders Memorial at Tower Hill took place on International Workers memorial Day 2012 Link This particular gathering was organised by the UCATT union and the Construction Safety Campaign. The theme of Workers Memorial Day is "Remember the Dead Fight for the Living". The bold fact is that during the ten years of conflict in Afghanistan and Iraq fewer British soldiers had died fighting than construction workers on British building sites. Each year black balloons are released one for each worker killed in the past year TQ3380 : Builders Remembrance.
