Blast Shelter at Ponc Aberdaron
Blast Shelter at Ponc Aberdaron
This is a large well constructed blast shelter and is the only one on this gallery. A shelter of this size could hold around 36 men. The height of the rockface here is 68 feet. The gallery immediately above is Ponc Llangristiolus, so called because it was first developed by a team led by Owen Rowlands of the parish of Llangristiolus in Anglesey.
