Ferns in autumn, May's Wood
Ferns in autumn, May's Wood
Strange how some fronds are as fresh-looking as in spring while others are bleached almost white.
May’s Wood
May’s Wood is pleasant and spacious mixed woodland managed by the West Midlands Forest District of the Forestry Commission, England, based at Rugeley, Staffordshire. The wood occupies about 20 hectares on a low summit northwest of Wootton Wawen. There is public access from Mayswood Road. At the time of the photograph a public consultation was being held about the Forest Design Plan for the wood.
