The eastern end of Ponc Jubilee
The eastern end of Ponc Jubilee
This photo, taken from the top of the C10 incline embankment, SH5960 : The upper part of the unfinished C10 incline, shows where the junction with the trackway running east from the rockface of Jubilee to the Jubilee waste tip would have been if the work had been completed. The building at the intended junction was a weigh machine house. These galleries at the very top of the quarry failed to live up to expectation, and this was the reason why the plans for the new incline were aborted fairly late in the day. As the name suggests, the Jubilee gallery was developed at the time of Victoria's jubilee in 1887. SH6060 : The view from the outer perimeter of the Dinorwig HEP surge pond
