TL4054 : Towards Lord's Bridge

taken 12 years ago, near to Barton, Cambridgeshire, England

Towards Lord's Bridge
Towards Lord's Bridge
The Bedford to Cambridge Railway opened in 1862 and closed in 1967. This part of the trackbed is occupied by the Mullard Radio Astronomy Laboratory. The former Lord's Bridge Station is in the distance, half a mile or so to the west of this bridge on the Barton-Haslingfield road. The bridges on this part of the railway had distinctive corrugated iron parapets. TL3555 : Soon to be dismantled railway bridge near Toft shows shows one which has since been demolished.
