Ruins of the A5 Drum House at Ponc Penrhydd
Ruins of the A5 Drum House at Ponc Penrhydd
Known as Rowler Penrhydd, this drum house has been reduced to a ruin. A large waste tip of boulders was created next to it during the building of the HEP station, blocking off access to the extractive section of Penrhydd and burying a number of buildings including the Lower Garret Office. One of these boulders has lodged itself on the roof of the brakeman's hut. SH5960 : The A5 Drum House viewed from Upper Penrhydd.
