The stocking yard wall of Ponc Twlldwndwr viewed from Upper Penrhydd
The Twlldwndwr stocking yard, like most of the gallery yards, was constructed on a waste tip and is supported by a wall of slate waste. These gallery walls, like the inclines, are now, unfortunately, in an advanced state of deterioration. In another decade there will be very little of the quarry's architecture left to geograph. The tip in the background served Ponc Twlldwndwr, as well as Abyssinia and Tophet, the next two galleries above it.
