Missing overbridge on the A incline at Ponc Twlldwndwr
Missing overbridge on the A incline at Ponc Twlldwndwr
When the new tip was started at Twlldwndwr - which extended down almost as far as Feiar Injan obliterating sections of Upper Penrhydd, Penrhydd and Twllyclawdd galleries SH5960 : Recent slate tip which has obliterated sections of the Lower Garret galleries - the overbridge across Ponc Twlldwndwr was demolished. In the past access on foot from Twlldwndwr to Abyssinia was gained by means of the staircase running alongside the incline. The high wall above supports the stocking yard of Ponc Abyssinia. A bridge spanned the incline for movement of waste to the Abyssinia waste tip.
