Underpass, Ringway, Coventry
One of the key elements of Coventry's post-war planning was the segregation of cars and pedestrians. While undoubtedly well-intentioned, safer and attractively laid out, it does result in the latter having to walk further than is really necessary. While perhaps having some marginal benefit to the fitness of the city's residents - possible research topic here - I find it slightly frustrating.
