National Trust land in Cwm Gwesyn

I have my back on the gate that marks the boundary to the NT land here; what a valuable asset saved for the nation - this small valley is an isolated gem and could well have been forested, had a track laid into it or been farmed or managed in a way that meant it would have lost it's character. In NT hands it is managed so that it remains unspoilt, I hope, with echoes of its farmed past and its origins. It is a lovely valley to walk. Especially in May.
