This Georgian house at 44 Church Street is the oldest building left in Oldbury.
A date on the building shows 1705, but the basement and foundations are thought to be older. It is currently owned by Sandwell Metroplitan Borough Council and has been extensively refurbished to accommodate the Mayor and Civic Affairs Suite.
Grade II* listed in January 1950.
