SX3069 : Way marker at Charaton Cross
near to Pensilva, Cornwall, Great Britain

Way marker at Charaton Cross
On the cross roads at Charaton Cross on the road to Golberdon, stands this impressive way marker, showing Liskeard on the West face, Callington on the East face and Launceston on the North side. Launceston has been cut into the granite in full, but as anyone in South East Cornwall will tell you it should be pronounced Lanson so the stone cutter could have saved themselves a bit of time, unless they were on piece work!
