Langstone Rocks
Taken from Dawlish Warren. The huge piles of rocks on the sea shore are there to protect the railway line which runs behind them, although it is the Dawlish Warren sandspit itself which is of most concern. If it shifts or is eroded it could expose a long stretch of the railway along the edge of the Exe estuary to the full force of the sea.
