O2817 : Dublin-Wicklow railway at Bray Head
near to Bray, Wicklow, Ireland

Dublin-Wicklow railway at Bray Head
Known as Brunel's Folly due to the cost of maintaining this railway, it has to be said this is one of the most famous and scenic stretches of railway in the country. At times, as can be seen in this picture the railway is barely metres from the coastline.
It has had to be diverted several times due to erosion. A previous course can be seen to the right of the current railway which involved a bridge (the remains of the piers can still be seen) a cutting and a smaller tunnel.
