Former church of St Mary the Virgin, East Stoke
Former church of St Mary the Virgin, East Stoke
The church was built in 1828 and in service until 1985. It was converted to three residential units in 1993-4. The churchyard remains consecrated and the Victorian rectory has been turned into a small country house hotel The main road is the A352 coming from Wareham on the left. The left turn leads crosses the Weymouth-London (Waterloo) main line and the River Frome to join the main part of the village.
