A development by Taylor Wimpey of 80 dwelling units on the former Little Frenchies Field, Denmead (2.24 hectares). The site had been used as grassed pasture by a tenant farmer.
The development was vigorously opposed locally and an outline planning application was refused in 2009 but allowed on appeal in 2010. After amendment full permission was granted in January 2011.
According to Taylor Wimpey the development consists of "80 low rise traditionally constructed houses and apartments". A section 106 agreement required the provision of 35% affordable housing. The
SU6511 : Housing development noticeboard on Frenchies Field shows two 5 bedroom houses, four 4 bedroom houses, twelve 3 bedroom home & study, one 3 bedroom home, nine 2 bedroom homes, twelve 1 bedroom home & study, and twelve 1 & 2 bedroom apartments.
