Grizzled Skipper (Pyrgus malvae)
A little-known snag in the construction of the Cambridgeshire Guided Busway was that it cut through a colony of this diminutive butterfly. A solution was found involving converting some patches of arable land into "mitigation areas" which will contain the species' local food-plant (creeping cinquefoil, as seen in SX9066 : Creeping Cinquefoil, former Barton tip), and unplanted gravel basking areas.
