Looking south-west from summit of Alderton Hill
Alderton Hill and Dumbleton Hill are outliers of the Cotswolds. This photo was taken from the highest point, 203 metres, on a sunny, snowy day. The villages of Alderton and Alstone are in the valley below. In the distance, the recently restored Gloucestershire and Warwickshire Railway runs between the two hills - Oxenton Hill (to the right) and Stanley Mount and Nottingham Hill (to the left). Cheltenham lies beyond the gap in the far distance.
