Notts - NG15 (Annesley Hall)
This picture of a corner of the one of the inner courtyard boundary walls of Annesley Hall shows the difference in height between the land on which the hall was built and the level on which the former Annesley Church and graveyard were sited. Pedestrians making their way between the hall and the church in the past would have been able to use a flight of steps situated on the left hand margin of this photograph (though not visible here). The metal fence, or indeed any sort of fence, around the edge of the graveyard may not have been there in former days.
