Opening of Dickens Whinney House
A block of eight affordable-rent apartments built by the Southwark and London Diocesan Housing Association on the site of the former Christ Church Vicarage on Thurland Road. It was being opened officially by the Bishop of Woolwich, Rt Revd Michael Ipgrave. The block is named after Bishop Michael Dickens-Whinney LinkExternal link a former Vicar of St James's parish in which it now stands. It was designed by Molyneux Architects and built by Bryan & Langley.
