Juniper exclosure
Juniper exclosure
A small area has been made safe from grazing by sheep (and rabbits) and young junipers can now be seen growing strongly.
In the past they were more widespread in several locations around the North York Moors, but recently there were very few individual plants remaining.
A scheme was established to propagate from these last few bushes and the new bushes have been planted in groups in various places.
