SE0103 : The valley of Chew Brook and Wimberry Rocks

3 km from Greenfield, Oldham, Great Britain

The valley of Chew Brook and Wimberry Rocks
The valley of Chew Brook and Wimberry Rocks
A lovely, picturesque spot spoiled somewhat by the selfish littering of recent picnickers. It must be over 30 years since I last passed this way whilst studying as a student in Manchester. Today we are climbing on Wimberry for a good old-fashioned gritstone thrashing on this often cold and damp, north-facing crag.
