A nice information point gives details of the area's ecology and next to it is a somewhat larger sign telling you that 'military debris' from an old firing range 'may explode and kill you.'

I expect it's just a ploy to keep visitors to the paths so I ran off-piste several times jumping two-footed into hollows, hollering, flailing my arms and kicking anything that looked faintly like military debris a few times. Just to be sure.
