It would appear, from various sources, that the wooden bridge over Wicken Lode in this square:
TL5469 : Wicken Lode Bridgeand the lift bridge a couple of kilometres further east:
TL5669 : Cock-up bridgeare both known as 'cock-up bridge'. It seems odd that two bridges so close on the same waterway would have the same name, although the name could possibly be a generic one used in the district for bridges over lodes.
Is anyone able to provide a definitive answer or any further information?
