Standing Stone, Tarbert
A lichen encrusted pointy-topped standing stone just off the A846 at Tarbert on Jura. According to the map there are several standing stones around here, but this was the only one I spotted.
Tarbert, once the centre of population for the island, but now very lightly populated, is situated at the narrowest part of Jura where it is less than a mile from west to east coast. NR6081 : Tarbert Bay, Jura on the east coast is seen in the distance.
