The Company of Weavers is Witney's newest pub, having opened on the 21st February 2012. Not many people are opening new pubs these days, so it comes as no surprise that this is a J.D. Wetherspoon pub. The pub does not occupy all of the building. Part of the frontage belongs to the offices of the Mortgage Company. For many years the building was the Palace Cinema, which explains why it has considerable depth. In recent years it was a night club called the Palace.
