The beacon on the top of the tower on Scolty was lit at 2226hrs on 4 June 2012 as part of the celebrations for the Queen's Diamond Jubilee. It was one of over 4200 beacons which were lit across the United Kingdom, Channel Islands, Isle of Man, Commonwealth and Overseas UK Territories
