Lady Elizabeth de Strelley, taken 5 years ago
Remarkable alabaster effigy of Lady Elizabeth de Strelley on the tomb with her husband Sir Sampson in All Saints' church LinkExternal link . Her hair is trussed at the sides in a 'Phoenecian' style and covered with jewelled network, crowned with a coronet. Around her neck she wears a slender necklace with twin pendants, resting serenely on a pillow supported by two angels.
