NG1650 : Gate onto the moor
near to Lephin, Highland, Great Britain

Gate onto the moor
Small gates such as this are often found in roadside fences. They are obviously too narrow for vehicles, so presumably date back to the times when access only on foot was required. Today, it was my entrance to a wonderful walk up the cliff edge on the eastern side of Loch Pooltiel, followed by the ascent of Ben Skriaig and Ben Ettow.
