Spondon station on Christmas Day 2006. The station buildings have recently been refurbished for private business and residential use. Whilst sad that they are no longer used for the railway they are certainly a big improvement on the dilapidated state they were in previously. No chance of any trains today - the flashing 'stop' lights attached to the rails behind the photographer indicate a maintenance track possession over the holiday period.
