The Coach Road, Betchworth Park
The Coach Road, Betchworth Park
At this time of year - early June - the Coach Road runs through a tunnel of greenery. For much of its length it is a broad bridleway, as seen here, but at the northern end a few hundred metres are metalled, giving access to Betchworth Park Golf Club from the A25.

Fellow Geograph-er Ian Capper has done some research on the road's history, which would seem to show that it is of 19th century origin LinkExternal link.
