Fallen silver birch with fungi
Fallen silver birch with fungi
This fallen silver birch was almost completely covered in this fungus, probably 'Coriolus versicolor', a common, inedible, bracket fungus which grows on dead wood & can be found throughout the year. (Thanks to Ken Taylor for identification.) The area of woodland in the picture is known as Woodcockair.
