taken 12 years ago, near to Lochdon, Isle of Mull, Argyll And Bute, Scotland

Wild Hyacinth (Hyacinthoides non-scriptus)
Wild Hyacinth (Hyacinthoides non-scriptus)
This is the genuine article, with a single-sided spike and long narrow purple-blue bells. So far the native Wild Hyacinth is not threatened in the Highlands and Islands by hybridisation with introduced Spanish Bluebells.
