The summit plateau of Cefn Du
The summit plateau of Cefn Du
This view is taken eastwards towards the summit of the Cefn Du ridge. The rocks here date from the Pre-Cambrian period and were part of the stable block against which the later Cambrian rocks were crushed and folded causing their mudstones to metamorphose into slate.
