SW6638 : King Edward School of Mines - former stamps house

near to Troon, Cornwall, Great Britain

King Edward School of Mines - former stamps house.
King Edward School of Mines - former stamps house.
The ruinous building is the Cornish beam engine house that held the rotative beam engine driving the stamps of the South Condurrow Mine. In the foreground is a jaw crusher by Holman Bros of Camborne. The lumps of concrete full of drilled holes were, I suspect, used in a drilling competition.
