King Edward School of Mines - winding engine
King Edward School of Mines - winding engine
Horizontal duplex geared steam winding engine with two cluthable drums. Built 1905 by Holman Bros, Camborne and originally installed here. Following a bit of a journey it is back on its first engine bed and a reconstructed engine house has been built. This is occasionally demonstrated on compressed air and is being gradually restored to its former glory.
