Approaching the Ponc Alice winch house
Ponc Alice was the highest working gallery at Dinorwig. A relatively simple device based on winching cradles of quarried rock along a wire rope down to Ponc Aberdaron was found sufficient to serve its needs. The white line is the contrail of a passing aircraft.
