Mermaid Inn, Mermaid Street
The Inn was built around 1420 though the cellars date back to the 13th century the original building possibly destroyed during French raids in the One Hundred Years War. The Mermaid was also a hang out for local smuggling gangs in the 18th century. Still used as an inn today and reputed to be haunted.
