St. Nicholas' Church, Dyke Road, BN1 - cross in churchyard
The stone steps remain, but the original cross was destroyed by Cromwell's soldiers during the civil war. The current cross, dating from 1934, was designed by Walter Godfrey, architect and noted historian of Sussex churches. For more info, see LinkExternal link .
