Cerrig Cyfamod Glyndŵr ('Glyndŵr's Covenant Stones')
Two quartz stones (the second is just visible a third of the way down from the top of the view), marked as standing stones on some maps, are held by some to mark the site of the battle of Hyddgen in which Glyndŵr fought the forces of the English crown in 1401. However, it is very unlikely that it took place exclusively in this position due to the boggy nature of the ground hereabouts and which has probably remained unchanged since the days of the battle.
