Osmond, Statuary and Mason: old shop-front in St John's Street, Salisbury
Now part of the extensive premises of 'The Lazy Cow' ('Alehouse and Steakhouse'), at the corner of St John's Street and St Ann Street. Old Mr. Osmond showed off a bit when he built that portico, with its fluted Doric columns. I notice that he announced his name and the nature of his business using a style of lettering known as 'Egyptian' - fashionable for a while in the first half of the 19th century (another example can be found here: Link ).

Photo taken a little before 9 o'clock on a mid-summer evening - and the Lazy Cow seemed pretty busy.
