Erbyn 1861 bu farw Hannah ac yn y cyfamser roedd Griffith wedi priodi ei lys ferch, Mary Bowen,a hithau dim ond yn 19 oed ac yntau yn 64! Yn ystod cyfnod Griffith Philip bu'r felin yn dafarn sef y Millers Arms ac yma yn Mis Tachwedd 1868 y canhaliwyd cwest i mewn i lofruddiaeth John Morgan o Ffarm yr Henglawdd. Cafwyd y ddifinydd, Henry Evans, yn ddieuog. Caewyd y felin yn ysod 1960au ond fe'i gweithwyd unwaith eto yn 1980 yn ystod Eisteddfod Genedlaethol Dyffryn Lliw yn Nhregwyr. Yn 1990 bu farw William Henry Jones, melinydd olaf Felindre yn 90 oed. Hyd yn gymaharol ddiweddar gwyngalchwyd yr adeilad.

A mill has stood on the site since at least the sixteenth century. The present building dates from the early nineteenth century and the actual mill itself is located on the right. In 1856, Griffith Philip of Lliw Mill, Pontlliw married Hannah, the widow of John Bowen, miller, and took over the running of the mill. By 1861 Hannah had passed away and Griffith, aged 64, had married Mary Bowen, his 19 year old step daughter. During Griffith's time the mill was also a public house known as the Millers Arms and it was here in November 1868 that an inquest was held into the murder of John Morgan of Henglawdd Farm. The accused, Henry Evans, was found not guilty at Swansea Assizes. The mill closed during the 1960's but it was worked for one week again in 1980 during the Dyffryn Lliw National Eisteddfod held at Gowerton. William Henry Jones, the last miller of Felindre, died in 1990 aged 95. (Until recently the mill would have been completely whitewashed).
